We are a comic battle tournament website/forum. You might also know this under the term original character tournament (OCT).

What is comic battling?
It works like this: Every participant has one or more characters. Those characters go on adventures and meet the characters of the other players; they might fight but they might also just do stuff together or even combine their forces against something else. This is what you draw when you "battle".

Here's how a battle goes: Player A draws his comic in the first week, then Player B will draw his comic in the second week as an answer to Player A's comic.
The goal is to make the most entertaining/gripping/funny/best comic! It is up to you how to do this. After the two fights have been posted there will be a poll in which members can vote on who created the best comic.

Comics are rewarded with points. See the rules thread for details.


Can I submit comics outside of a battle?
Yes! We call this "city stories". You can take as much time for these as you like. You can tell any story that plays in this universe, you can even feature other characters. These stories are also rewarded with points (10 per page).

The same goes for intro comics which are mandatory for new players. We want to get to know your character a little before he/she fights!


How do I upload my comic pages?
If you don't have your own webspace we can recommend free hosters like Photobucket. Just make a free account there, upload your pages and link them with the [ img] tags.
We recommend to post your pages with a width of 700-800 pixels. Pages that are broader than around 810 pixels will get cut off by the forum layout!

Signing up on the forum
Currently we have restricted registration because of spammers, all new accounts have to be activated by a moderator/admin which might take a few days if you are unlucky. So if you are a real person wanting to sign up, please choose a user name that doesn't look like gibberish, use a real email address, and it also helps to drop in the IRC channel with the same user name and talk to us, especially if you don't want to wait for your account activation. You can find the channel on http://www.mibbit.com, the channel's name is #Arcadia.
